The company was established by Paul Lay who has over 30 years experience in the scaffolding business and holds both CISRS Advanced Scaffolder and CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection cards . His knowledge and passion for scaffolding enables him to assist our clients to choose the right scaffolding structure for their project.
At PJL Scaffolding our focus is always to ensure the safety of our workforce, trades using the scaffold and the general public. We have appointed external specialist H&S advisors which ensure our Health and Safety is 100% fit for purpose by ensuring we meet latest H&S legislation and providing us with access to qualified H&S consultants 24/7.
PJL Scaffolding is CITB registered, who encourage training, and building a safe, professional and fully qualified workforce. The Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) has been the industry recognised scaffold training scheme for over 40 years and is the preferred scaffolding qualification.
All our workforce are fully trained and we can provide CISRS cards to prove their competency.
We have £10 million Public Liability and Employers Liability insurance, copies of which can be provided on request.
PJL Scaffolding provides highly specialised scaffolding to the UK Mobile Telecoms Sector. This requires our workforce to undertake additional specialised training which includes Rooftop Safety and Radio Frequency (RF) monitoring and awareness.
All scaffold erected by PJL Scaffolding meets the NASC TG20:13 Good Practice Guidance for Tube and Fitting Scaffolding and we can provide scaffold designs to confirm compliance with this guidance.
As well as providing traditional tube and fitting scaffold system we also use Readylok Transom scaffold system. This is a mobile transom system that forms a quickly erected, 5 board wide "system" access scaffold. Due to the exceptionally rigid corner joint Readylock can be erected up to 30m high without the need for ledger bracing. The omission of ledger bracing gives free access along the working platform.
